Oh, Brother: Cedric Richmond Believes Dems Are 'Rushing to Justice'

With the 2020 election a little less than a year away, Democrats have realized they're on a time crunch to get through the impeachment process. It's the very reason they've given themselves until Christmas to jam through Articles of Impeachment and start the Senate trial.

Republicans have continually asked Democrats why they are so quick to rush the impeachment process. After all, Democrats claim to want to know "the facts" but when the facts don't support their claims or theories, they launch even more investigations. It started with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. When he concluded that no collusion took place, the Democrats launched onto President Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming he threatened to withhold aid to the country unless Zelensky investigated former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, for corruption. Again, that was proven false when the call transcript was released. Yet the Democrats still continue with this impeachment push.

According to Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA), Democrats aren't rushing to make a judgement call about President Trump, even though they are. In his eyes they're rushing "to justice." Their reason – which is ironic – is that they want to get rid of corruption.

"I've heard Republicans say, 'Why are we rushing to judgement?' This is not a rush to judgment. It’s a rush to justice," Richmond said. "And we must not delay. Corruption is corrosive. It eats away like acid. The longer we wait, the more time we allow this president to do irreparable damage to our country and our democracy."

Isn't it amazing that Democrats are working to take down the very president who was trying to get to the root of corruption between the former vice president, his son and a corrupt natural energy company? The Democrats might want to take a look at the corruption in their own party.
