Stanford law professor and impeachment "expert" Pamela Karlan brought up Barron Trump during her testimony in front of the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.
"What comparisons, professor, can we make between kings that the framers were afraid of and the president’s conduct today?" Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) asked.
"So kings could do no wrong because the kings word was law. And contrary to what President Trump has said, Article II does not give him the power to do anything he wants," Karlan said. "I’ll just give you one example that shows you difference between him and a king. Which is the Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility. So while the President can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron."
Democrat "witness" Pamela Karlan is completely UNHINGED.

She is now attacking @realDonaldTrump's 13 year old son Barron Trump in an attempt to smear President Trump.#StopTheMadness #JerryRigged pic.twitter.com/4aktNR2Tps
The First Lady took to Twitter to slap back at Karlan for bringing her son into the debate, saying minors should be left out of the political fighting.
A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it.

Later in the hearing however, Karlan apologized for what she said earlier in the day.

"I want to apologize for what I said earlier about the president's son. It was wrong of me to do that. I wish the president would apologize, obviously, for the things that he's done that's wrong, but I do regret having said that."
