After Philadelphia Police twice released a violent criminal predator back onto the streets, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced they were able to arrest the illegal alien the day before Thanksgiving.
Hector Moran-Espinoza was first arrested by Philadelphia police on April 2nd. According to an ICE statement, Moran-Espinoza was charged with a laundry list of heinous crimes including "involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses, statuary sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children-parent or guardian commits offense, corruption of minors, indecent assault-without the consent of other person, reckless endangerment of another person, rape by forceable compulsion, sexual abuse of children-photographing, videotaping, depicting on a computer or filming sexual acts, and aggravated indecent assault without consent."
This is the sort of immigrant that Democrats protect with their sanctuary city policies. Sure enough, after ICE lodged an immigration detainer that would have prevented the criminal from harming anyone else, the Philadelphia police released the predator back onto the streets.
About one month later, the Philadelphia Police Department had to arrest the monster again on new charges of "unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses, corruption of minors, indecent assault of a person under 13 years of age, reckless endangerment of another person, and endangering the welfare of a child-parent or guardian commits offense."
Once again, ICE lodged an immigration detainer and, once again, the Philadelphia Police ignored it. The predator was released back onto the streets.
Since Philadelphia wouldn't protect its citizens, ICE had to. ICE arrested Moran-Espinoza on Nov. 27.
Of course, the American public would be much safer if the federal government could depend on cooperation from state and local governments to remove criminal aliens who pose a threat to local communities.
