During the second public impeachment inquiry hearing on Capitol Hill Friday morning, House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes called out Chairman Adam Schiff for lying about "not knowing the whistleblower." He also slammed Democrats for using hearsay as "evidence" to remove a duly elected President from office.
"As the Democrats are well aware, no Republicans here know the whistleblowers' identity because the whistleblower only met with Democrats, not with Republicans. Chairman Schiff claimed not to know who it is and he also vowed to block us from asking questions that could reveal his or her identity. Republicans on this Committee are left wondering how it's even possible to block questions about a person's identity he claims not to know," Nunes said.
Schiff and his staff know exactly who the whistleblower is.
As Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has repeatedly pointed out, Schiff and his fellow Democrats publicly proclaimed the whistleblower should testify. This only lasted until he was busted for previous contact and coaching of the individual.
"I think it's very interesting that initially Adam Schiff was adamant about the whistleblower testifying. It only became after it was clear that there was coordination that he no longer wants to hear from the whistleblower," Stefanik said during an interview this week with Fox News.
