CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was called a "Fredo" by some punk on Sunday while he was out with his family. He fought back and, in Sean Hannity's opinion, he was right to do so. I probably wouldn't have used so many f bombs, but I can understand why they came out of Cuomo's mouth.
But, most would agree that Cuomo took his reaction a bit too far by threatening physical violence against the man who insulted him, and comparing the word "Fredo," which is a reference to the film The Godfather, to the N-word. Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson was offended by the comparison and said so on Twitter. Donald Trump Jr. agreed that it was a stretch and used it to mock Cuomo.
Hey @ChrisCuomo, take it from me, “Fredo” isn’t the N word for Italians, it just means you’re the dumb brother. ?? https://t.co/sgg6yF7UDO

CNN rushed to Cuomo's defense.
"Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup," CNN spokesman Matt Dornic wrote on Twitter. "We completely support him."
It was Dornic's other statement that was a bit more amateurish.

"Very professional," some social media users sarcastically told him.
How very professional of you, Matt. Good job pulling a Jussie Smollett.

Those low ratings must really be getting under your skin.
PS-This won’t help your ratings.
Way to represent @CNN

And I mean that sincerely; I’m glad that “network” has completely lifted the veil on its belligerent little bubble of bias.
Several other respondents demanded that CNN either punish or fire Cuomo.
President Trump took the opportunity to present CNN with their slipping ratings again.
I thought Chris was Fredo also. The truth hurts. Totally lost it! Low ratings @CNN https://t.co/yBpGjt4N1T
