There’s pandemonium on The Hill and everyone is a racist. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) became the target of President Trump for their far left and arguably anti-American views. He said they could eave if they were unhappy being here, which stoked another round of allegations that the president is a racist. I couldn’t care less, but prior to this blowup, which occurred over the weekend, AOC and her crew were duking it out with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The Senate’s border bill, which she pushed along with moderate House Democrats, infuriated the far left contingent on the Hill. They accused Pelosi of racism, of disrespect, and for targeting them because they were women of color. AOC even alleged that the House speaker is burying her with work on her committee assignments to keep her away from the spotlight. Then, Trump tweeted.
Now, everyone and who is a Trump supporter is a racist based on their corrupt, illogical, and absurd parameters. Truth be told, just ignore them. We won the election. They lost, but they’ll create a lot of noise. These four horsewomen of the apocalypse are unpopular, their agenda is unpopular along with being total garbage, and they could hurt Democrats in 2020. They’re nationalizing the swing House races and are slowly becoming the face of the Democratic Party in these areas. Based on the polling, please keep talking, ladies.
.@AOC to @SerenaMarsh: "When you tell American citizens to go back to their country ... that has everything to do with race because they have targeted four congresswoman of color, who are American citizens with a classic line of white supremacy" https://t.co/5YIpd4Iv6d pic.twitter.com/4ICVEtZRX1

Breaking his silence on Trump tweets, McConnell says “all of us” need to “lower the temperature”
— Manu Raju (@mkraju) July 16, 2019
Yet, AOC has now found her latest victim of whom she can accuse of racism: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who refused to call Trump a racist…because he, and the rest of the GOP, is rightfully not playing this game (via Courier Journal):
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell defended President Donald Trump, saying he is not a racist amid a rising tide of criticism over a tweet in which the president told four Democratic congresswomen to “go back" to their ancestor’s countries.
McConnell, the senior senator from Kentucky, told reporters everyone across the political spectrum should raise their decorum.
"It's about time we lowered the temperature all across the board," McConnell said during a Tuesday press conference. "All of us ought to contribute to a better level of discourse."
Trump's critics have been in overdrive in blasting the president's latest round of tweets in which he appeared to be targeting outspoken minority Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York; Ilhan Omar of Minnesota; Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts; and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. All but Omar were born in the United States.
Right now, the House has become engulfed in chaos over this resolution against Trump’s tweets. Apparently, Pelosi broke the rules in her remarks condemning the president. In the meantime, Trump has doubled down. AOC is still going after him and she thinks this improves the Democrats’ chances of winning 2020.
Those Tweets were NOT Racist. I don’t have a Racist bone in my body! The so-called vote to be taken is a Democrat con game. Republicans should not show “weakness” and fall into their trap. This should be a vote on the filthy language, statements and lies told by the Democrat.....

.....Congresswomen, who I truly believe, based on their actions, hate our Country. Get a list of the HORRIBLE things they have said. Omar is polling at 8%, Cortez at 21%. Nancy Pelosi tried to push them away, but now they are forever wedded to the Democrat Party. See you in 2020!

You’re right, Mr. President - you don’t have a racist bone in your body.
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 16, 2019
You have a racist mind in your head, and a racist heart in your chest.
That’s why you violate the rights of children and tell the Congresswoman who represents your home borough, to “go back to my country.” https://t.co/adlCUO7r0v
NEW: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to @SerenaMarsh: If GOP lawmakers "go on the record condoning the president telling women of color to go back to their own country, I invite them to, because we will win the 2020 election." https://t.co/0l6wsNWU0d pic.twitter.com/RQ7HJ0v5lK

Here’s the thing folks—the Democrats can’t get all high and mighty over Trump’s tweets when they couldn’t even condemn an explicit act of anti-Semitism by Omar. They fumbled the ball. And the GOP shouldn’t cave to their theatrics or the pressure applied by their allies in the media. The Democrats couldn’t condemn anti-Semitism. They pretty much gave the game away with their political games in combating things viewed as bigoted.
