The war between Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is approaching nuclear reactor meltdown levels. This was bound to happen. It’s the new guard versus the old guard. That battle has intensified over the border crisis. Moderate House Democrats bolted and pushed to pass the Senate’s border package, which was also overwhelmingly bipartisan. It’s also one that President Trump said he would sign. The House passed their version, but had provisions that would have hampered enforcement of federal immigration laws. The funny thing is that AOC voted against the House bill too.
AOC, Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) all make up this far left witches coven and they’re even giving the House Democratic leadership heartburn. Pelosi has dismissed them, their policy initiatives, and said that their clout is grossly overrepresented due to their social media activity. And now, AOC has struck back saying that Pelosi is singling out these women of color, which is a sign of gross disrespect. The race nuclear bomb has been set off and now let impact winter set in; Pelosi had reportedly chewed out progressives in a closed-door meeting. She noted that any misgivings should be brought to her, not aired out on Twitter. AOC and company are also getting tired of the swipes Pelosi has dished towards them, but are not there yet concerning taking their concerns to Pelosi (via WaPo):

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admonished Democrats for personally attacking one another, warning in a closed-door meeting Wednesday that the party’s fracturing was jeopardizing its majority.
Without naming names, her target was clear: the four liberal freshmen known as “the Squad.”
“You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just okay,” Pelosi (D-Calif.) told Democrats.
But “the Squad” — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) — is convinced it is Pelosi who is being the bully.
The four are struggling with the speaker’s moves to isolate them in recent weeks, according to interviews with the lawmakers, congressional aides and allies. Pelosi has made at least half a dozen remarks dismissing the group or their far-left proposals on the environment and health care. More recently she scorned their lonely opposition to the party’s emergency border bill last month.

“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” Ocasio-Cortez told The Washington Post. “But the persistent singling out . . . it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful . . . the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”
Pelosi has no regrets about giving a spanking to the “squad,” and she continues to take swipes at them. She has called AOC’s Green New Deal the “green dream or whatever,” while also saying rather correctly that a glass of water could’ve been elected to Congress in these districts due to their liberal tilt. But, Pelosi being accused of racism or at the very least acting problematic on the basis of race is popcorn-worthy. This is low-intensity civil war stuff. AOC already admits she has no relationship with Pelosi, which the Postalso noted in the piece, saying the two women have zero communication with one another. Ocasio-Cortez even lobbed the accusation that her committee assignments and their related workloads were designed by the leadership to keep her out of the limelight. Omar backed up AOC, saying Pelosi was just “salty”that they’re wielding power. The race card has been whipped out. All that remains is some potentially high-quality Democratic shanking, which is always good entertainment.
