Well, when you look at the judge who issued this ruling, this is probably not a shocker. An Obama-appointed judge upheld a House Democrat subpoena over President Trump’s tax returns. The order targets an accounting firm. House Democrats have sought six years worth of personal returns from the president, including those from his businesses. Trump has refused to turn them over citing an audit. We all know what this is about though, folks. This is just another square in the long-running game of impeachment bingo that the Democrats have pathetically waged ever since Trump won the 2016 election. From taxes to peddling the Russian collusion myth, the Left is chucking everything against the wall and hoping something sticks (via Politico):
A federal judge upheld a congressional subpoena seeking President Donald Trump’s financial records from an accounting firm, dealing a blow to the president’s efforts to resist Democratic investigations.
U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta’s ruling means that Mazars USA must comply with the House Oversight and Reform Committee’s subpoena for eight years of Trump’s financial records, though the president is certain to appeal the ruling.
The president filed suit last month to block the subpoena, arguing that it amounted to an abuse of congressional authority.
Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) issued the subpoena to Mazars last month as part of the panel’s investigation into whether Trump committed financial crimes before he became president.

The Treasury Department has already told House Democrats to shove it. It’s all part of the Trump White House’s ongoing war with congressional Democrats. This isn’t the first time the Trump administration has slapped away these requests. There will likely be an appeal.
