The first waves of criticism at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) were slightly unfair. Folks, her views are trash—and that’s where the criticism should be focused on like a laser. Yet, the dance video she did in college and the fact that she couldn’t afford a D.C. apartment until her congressional salary kicked in isn’t the best line of attack. D.C. is expensive, folks. It makes her a sympathetic figure. And then, she decided to push this Green New Deal.
We all know the endgame to this so-called plan: the destruction of the American economy. It bans the internal combustion engine, seeks to transition us away from fossil fuels in 10 years, culls all farting cows, and upgrades all buildings to whatever energy efficiency standards deemed necessary by these green warriors. Buildings that cannot be brought up to this code will be destroyed. It’s the epitome of intrusive government. And if we don’t do it, we’re all going to die in 12 years, or something. But wait; there might be a documentary on this, a possible follow-up to her recent documentary about her 2018 election that’s now on Netflix (via NY Post):

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is talking to the filmmaker who chronicled the political upstart’s run for Congress in a Netflix documentary about a new project highlighting her Green New Deal environmental plan, according to a report Tuesday.
Rachel Lears followed the rookie lawmaker and three other women running during the 2018 midterm elections in “Knock Down the House,” which aired on the streaming service, Axios reported.
But Lears is making the documentary independently and it may not end up appearing on Netflix.
Oh no, we won’t see it, which means…we can all get on with our lives. Also, given that the Green New Deal will do absolutely nothing to combat climate change, maybe this is a good thing that Netflix might not pick this project up.
