The wandering woman from the woods and twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton just can't help herself.
Today, she's weighing in on the Mueller report and arguing President Trump should be facing criminal charges. Her remarks came during an interview at the TIME 100 Summit in New York City.
“Any other person who had engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted, but because of the rule in the Justice Department that you can’t indict a sitting President, the whole matter of obstruction was very directly sent to the Congress," Clinton said. “I’m really of the mind that the Mueller report is part of the beginning. It’s not the end."
"There’s still so much more that we should know and that we should act upon," she added. "We want [referring to Democrats in Congress] to show the American people we take our constitutional responsibilities seriously. So you don't put impeachment on the table as the only item on the table and say you're going to get there no matter what, which is what happened in 99'. Instead, you say we are going to proceed with the seriousness that this demands...if they believe that high crimes and misdemeanors have been committed then I think it is the obligation of the Congress to put forward articles of impeachment."
How rich, considering Clinton is the one who should have been prosecuted for repeatedly mishandling top secret, classified information and for putting lives at risk. As a reminder:
FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will not face charges for using multiple private email servers to store, send and receive top secret, classified information. The FBI has been investigating the matter for more than a year and has spent thousands of hours bringing it to a conclusion.
"There is evidence they [Clinton and staff] were extremely careless in their handling of classified information," Comey said. "Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case. Prosecutors necessarily weigh a number of factors before deciding whether to bring charges."
In other words, the FBI believes Hillary Clinton broke the law, but the Department of Justice is highly unlikely to prosecute.
