White House Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway slammed Democrats Monday morning during an interview on Fox & Friends and made the case they've had a rough start to 2019.
"I think the Democrats have had a horrible six weeks in 2019. They're the ones at the table now that can't get this [border security deal] done. They're the ones hurdling us toward a shutdown. The top Democrat in Virginia is an accused racist. The second top Democrat in Virginia is an accused rapist, difference of a letter and they've got this congresswoman from Minnesota again having anti-Semitic sewage spilling from her mouth overnight [Rep. Ilhan Omar]. And then, you've got people running for president on the Green New Deal, 70 percent taxes, socialized medicine, they want to do away with cows, they want to do away with gas, they want to do away with cow gas and air travel," Conway said. "They're sitting on their hands while the president is speaking against abortion in the eighth and ninth month, trying to stop human trafficking and sex trafficking, I mean this has been a really terrible six weeks and we need a fully functioning Washington where both parties are focused on 2019 and not 2020."
President Trump will head to El Paso Monday to visit the southern border with Mexico. Congress has until the end of the week to come up with a deal on border security that includes funding for a border barrier or face another government shutdown.
The Border Committee Democrats are behaving, all of a sudden, irrationally. Not only are they unwilling to give dollars for the obviously needed Wall (they overrode recommendations of Border Patrol experts), but they don’t even want to take muderers into custody! What’s going on?

I don’t think the Dems on the Border Committee are being allowed by their leaders to make a deal. They are offering very little money for the desperately needed Border Wall & now, out of the blue, want a cap on convicted violent felons to be held in detention!

It was a very bad week for the Democrats, with the GREAT economic numbers, The Virginia disaster and the State of the Union address. Now, with the terrible offers being made by them to the Border Committee, I actually believe they want a Shutdown. They want a new subject!
