Pelosi To Trump: You're Not Getting Your Wall, Mr. President

Well, the government shutdown has lasted over 12 days. It’s not ending anytime soon. Or that’s what seems to be the case if you look at the two sides. Trump wants his wall and has made enforcing immigration laws a priority. He wants border security. The Democrats don’t want a wall, they want open borders, abolish ICE, and continue the trend of illegal aliens murdering our citizens because they see millions of potential voters they can gobble up through amnesty. There is no creature as despicable as a liberal Democrat.

So, after briefings and negotiations, where are right where we started when President Donald Trump duked it out with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer in the Oval Office before Christmas on the issue: dead locked.  House Democrats just nabbed 40 seats and retook the lower chamber in the 2018 midterms. They’re in no mood to play ball. They want to throw punches. The Republicans increased their majority in the Senate, so there’s a 100 percent guarantee that whatever the House passes the Senate will kill. The Democrats have taken over the House today, as the 116thCongress officially convenes. And soon-to-be-Speaker Pelosi has already declared that they will never include border wall funding. Pelosi will tell NBC’s Savannah Guthrie in an interview on Today this morning (via NBC News):

Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi told NBC's "Today" show in an interview set to air Thursday that she will not provide President Donald Trump with the border wall funding he has demanded and shut down the government over.

Asked by NBC's Savannah Guthrie if she was willing to give up any money specifically for the border wall, Pelosi said "no."

"We can go through the back and forth," Pelosi said in a clip that aired on MSNBC on Wednesday. "No. How many more times can we say no? Nothing for the wall."

Well, to those 800,000 furloughed government workers, looks like you get another day of not working and throwing a few back at the bar.
