Voters in Massachusetts Don't Want Pocahontas to Run For President

Massachusetts Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren denies she's running for president in 2020, but based on her behavior in recent years, avid opposition to President Trump and a series of magazine profiles, it's become obvious she'll be throwing her hat into the ring.

But according to Warren's own constituents, they're not jazzed about a run for the White House. From the Boston Globe

A new poll shows a healthy majority of her constituents don’t think the Cambridge Democrat should jump into the 2020 race, which essentially begins as soon as the November midterm elections conclude less than 50 days from now. Fifty-eight percent of likely Massachusetts voters said they don’t think Warren should run for president, according to a Suffolk University Political Research Center/Boston Globe poll.

Only 32 percent of those surveyed said Warren, 69, should run. That’s about the same level of enthusiasm generated by former senator John Kerry.

In the meantime, Warren continues to deny she has presidential ambitions and maintains she is focused on keeping her Senate seat in November.
