According to a new survey from the Hill.TV and HarrisX, President Trump's approval rating just ticked up again, despite a week of criticism over Russia and tariffs.
New Harris-X poll first released on Hill TV's "What America's Thinking" pollster program has Trump's approval at 48%, the firm's highest on record. This follows an NBC/WSJ poll from the weekend putting Trump at 45%, the highest in that poll. Watch here: https://t.co/f1Qi8uRjY6

From The Hill:
President Trump's approval rating among Americans stands at 48 percent, a new poll shows.
The poll from American Barometer, a new joint project by Hill.TV and HarrisX, showed that among those who approve of Trump's job performance, 23 percent did so "strongly" while 25 percent did so "somewhat."
The survey also showed 52 percent disapproved of Trump's performance, with 38 percent doing so "strongly" and 14 percent disapproving "somewhat.” The poll was released on Wednesday's edition of new online video show "What America's Thinking" with Joe Concha.
These numbers are similar to results of a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, which also shows Trump's approval rating improving.
President Donald Trump’s approval rating edged higher during a week in which he faced withering criticism following a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, signaling that he is positioned to weather the latest controversy sparked by his unusual brand of politics. Mr. Trump’s job approval rating rose to 45% in a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, the highest mark of his presidency and up 1 percentage point from June.
Rasmussen is also in the ball park.
Rasmussen: Trump approval climbs to 46-53, pretty much where it was a week ago when the Trump-Putin meeting took place.

The few polls we've had (so far) show no impact from the meeting or the ensuing fallout from it.
