Rand Again Condemns John Brennan

If Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has his way, former CIA director for the Obama administration, John Brennan, may soon lose his security clearance.

Brennan currently works as a national Security analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. He has been highly critical of President Trump. Brennan called President Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Putin last week “nothing short of treasonous,” reports Politico

Last week Tucker Carlson said that Brennan maintains his security clearance despite no longer working for the federal government. Carlson went on to call Brennan an “out-of-the-closet-extremist” and called for his security clearance to be revoked.

Following Carlson’s statements last week, Paul made similar demands calling for the revocation of Brennan’s security clearance on Twitter Monday morning.

Paul is not the only lawmaker attacking Brennan. Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) said it's "extremely disturbing" to see Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey "express the kind of extreme bias that they have shown now" when he called for Brennan to testify on Capitol Hill concerning his role in the Russian investigation of the 2016  election.
