A large caravan of illegal aliens from Central America is marching through Mexico towards the U.S. border, and Mexican authorities are doing little, if anything, to stop them.
The caravan, which consists of over a thousand members, is being organized by the activist group “Pueblo Sin Fronteras” (PSF; “People Without Borders”). As one might expect, the group is not too keen on the idea of immigration laws or state borders. Its official website explains the organization’s main aim [emphasis mine]:
For more than fifteen years, members of Pueblo Sin Fronteras have been reaching out to the most vulnerable immigrants in the United States and to migrants and refugees on the move.
We are a collective of friends who decided to be in permanent solidarity with displaced peoples.
We accompany migrants and refugees in their journey of hope, and together demand our human rights.
We provide humanitarian aid to migrants and refugees on the move.
Our dream is to build solidarity bridges among peoples and turndown [sic] border walls imposed by greed.
And that is precisely what they are trying to do with their most recent caravan, which they call the Refugee Caravan 2018 - Viacrucis (Way/Stations of the Cross), a way of comparing their illegal aliens’ trials and tribulations to Jesus’ suffering during His crucifixion.
On March 25th, the caravan first set out from the Mexico-Guatemala border at Tapachula and proceeded onwards to an internal border control outpost in the small town of Huehuetan. On Monday, PSF’s official Facebook account posted a video showing their caravan celebrating as they passed through the post, which had apparently been abandoned by Mexican guards.
According to BuzzFeed News reporter Adolfo Flores, who has been travelling with the caravan over the past week, Mexican authorities have done nothing to stop the group, with individual immigration enforcement agents apparently scared of the sheer size of the horde as it moves from town to town [emphasis mine]:

Taking a drag from her cigarette, a Mexican immigration agent looked out toward a caravan of migrants that grew larger with each step they took on the two-lane highway.
When the agent, who'd covered her uniform with an orange and white shawl, learned that the Central American migrants heading her way numbered more than 1,000, she took off for the restaurant across the street.
“I'm going to have a relaxing Coke,” she told BuzzFeed News.
For five days now hundreds of Central Americans — children, women, and men, most of them from Honduras — have boldly crossed immigration checkpoints, military bases, and police in a desperate, sometimes chaotic march toward the United States. Despite their being in Mexico without authorization, no one has made any effort to stop them.
Flores also reports that in addition to walking, the group is using trucks, vans, and even school buses to transport themselves across southern Mexico.

Mexican locals along the way have also helped to feed the illegals as they move northward:

When they ultimately reach the U.S. border, most of the marchers plan to either try to cross it illegally or officially apply for political asylum. According to PSF’s official Facebook page, as of Monday morning, the caravan is still in southern Mexico somewhere near the town of Matias Romero, Oaxaca.
On Easter Sunday and Monday, President Trump published a flurry of tweets reacting in part to the caravans and insisted that congressional Republicans need to do something to pass “tough laws” that would enable ICE and border patrol agents to keep illegal immigrants like those being helped by PSF from coming into the United States.
Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. “Caravans” coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!

Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!

These big flows of people are all trying to take advantage of DACA. They want in on the act!

Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large “Caravans” of people enter their country. They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws.....

...Congress must immediately pass Border Legislation, use Nuclear Option if necessary, to stop the massive inflow of Drugs and People. Border Patrol Agents (and ICE) are GREAT, but the weak Dem laws don’t allow them to do their job. Act now Congress, our country is being stolen!
