American Bridge is reportedly the vehicle that will be used to set the wheels in motion to getting President Trump impeached. Die-hard Clintonite David Brock founded it. In January of 2017, as the nation watched the swearing in of Donald J. Trump as the 45th president of the United States, Brock and a cadre of wealthy progressive donors went to Aventura, Florida to establish the groundwork of this admitted multi-year project. The Washington Free Beacon’s Lachlan Markay, now with The Daily Beast, and Joe Schoffstall obtained a copy of the memo from this conference.
Well, Bridge hit a legal snag last Friday, March 16, when Capitol Police arrested one of their staffers for assaulting a female communications official working with Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke (via Daily Caller News Foundation):
U.S. Capitol Police have arrested a male Democratic operative for assaulting a female Interior Department communications official following a House budget hearing Thursday.
The assault happened after Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke finished testifying on the department’s 2019 budget proposal before the House Committee on Natural Resources. The suspect identified himself as a reporter with American Bridge and pushed a female Interior Department communications official to the floor, chasing after Zinke, The Daily Caller News Foundation learned.
Interior communications director Laura Rigas was “greatly alarmed and extremely irate that a female senior member of my DOI Communications team was physically assaulted today by a Democrat staffer from the PAC American Bridge,” she told Politico.
Interior officials filed a police report, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned, but it has not yet been processed, police said. It will be made public in seven to 10 days once processed. American Bridge did not respond to TheDCNF’s request for comment.
So, while that is being sorted out, let’s not kid ourselves about Bridge’s goal, and that of the Democrats, which is to impeach Trump. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says the party is definitely looking into it. Former Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), who resigned after allegations of sexual misconduct, including a revelation that he settled such a claim with taxpayer money, had his spot on the House Judiciary Committee filled by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), who is reportedly a constitutional law expert, in the hopes of having some heavy guns ready should the Democrats retake the House in 2018.
Also, do we really have to play the game concerning what if a GOP male staffer did this to a Democratic female official with the Obama administration? You know how these things work by now.
