Trump Jr: Imagine If I 'Lost Texts' Like the FBI

The FBI claims to have lost thousands of texts between FBI Agent Peter Strzok and his lover Lisa Page that revealed their anti-Trump bias. It proved to be problematic, considering Strzok was on the special counsel investigation into Russian collusion and it was supposed to be conducted in a nonpartisan manner.

Over 50,000 texts were sent between the two individuals, but the FBI’s system failed to retain text messages for about five months between the Trump transition and the start of Robert Mueller’s investigation, blaming it on "misconfiguration issues."

President Trump just said, "wow!"

His son, Donald Trump, Jr. believes the American people are smarter than that and can smell a scam.

“We will leave no stone unturned to confirm with certainty why these text messages are not now available," Attorney General Jeff Sessions pledged.

GOP representatives House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte released a joint statement demanding the agencies follow through. Their credibility is at stake.

"Rather than clearing up prior FBI and DOJ actions," they wrote, "these recently produced documents cause us to further question the credibility and objectivity of certain officials at the FBI."
