Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) ruffled some feathers Thursday by announcing he was a "no" on the GOP tax reform bill. Before he could support it, he wanted to expand the child tax credit.
He shared his demands on Twitter.

It appears he got his wish, or at least a partial victory.

This is up from the $1,100 in the version that passed the Senate. CNBC's sources confirmed that Rubio is now a "yes," yet on Twitter he noted there is much more work to be done.
For far too long, Washington has ignored and left behind the American working class. Increasing the refundability of the Child Tax Credit from 55% to 70% is a solid step toward broader reforms which are both Pro-Growth and Pro-Worker.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), who shared Rubio's concerns, is still undecided.
President Trump defended the GOP tax reform outside of the White House Friday, heralding it as the biggest tax cut the country has ever seen.
Republicans are expected to release a bill Friday at 5:30 p.m. and a vote is expected early next week.
