President Donald Trump dismissed the rumors that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would be leaving his position as "fake news" made up by the media. Earlier on Friday, Tillerson also said he was going to be sticking around and laughed off reports he was out.
Trump posted a tweet and an Instagram post about how he had not fired Tillerson, and that while they may disagree on things, they "work well together." Trump said he also calls the final shots when he does not agree with Tillerson on something. Tillerson, Trump believes, will help make America better respected.
The media has been speculating that I fired Rex Tillerson or that he would be leaving soon - FAKE NEWS! He’s not leaving and while we disagree on certain subjects, (I call the final shots) we work well together and America is highly respected again!https://t.co/FrqiPLFJ1E

The Instagram was the same as the tweet, but superimposed over a picture of Trump swearing in Tillerson in the Oval Office.
Well, that certainly gets the point across and shuts down any rumors to the contrary. Looks like Tillerson's job is safe, for now.
