Scaramucci Explains the Scaramucci Post's Bizarre Holocaust Poll

Earlier on Tuesday, the Scaramucci Post posted an incredibly bizarre Twitter poll: How many Jews were killed in the Holocaust?

The poll was, thankfully, taken down after about an hour and a half. Social media director Lance Laifer posted that he was the one who made the poll, and apologized for any offense.

Several hours later, former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, who runs the Scaramucci Post, tweeted an apology and explained that the poll was meant to be a Holocaust education tool and was posted without his approval while he was on vacation.

He also said that he would not be firing the employee who posted the poll, saying he was "not into witchunts [sic]."

Additionally, Scaramucci tweeted that the Scaramucci Post would be making a donation to the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
