Earlier today, Mexico City was hit by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake. While the number of casualties is currently unknown (but at least 42 people have been reported dead), the images and videos of the devastation coming out of the city have been nothing short of jaw-dropping. According to Mexican President Nieto, a reported 27 buildings have collapsed in Mexico City following the earthquake. The rebuilding effort will likely take years.
