Some progressives are hoping Hurricane Irma will bring nothing but destruction to President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach as the storm continues to barrel toward Florida.
The hurricane has killed at least 10 people so far in the Caribbean and could cause billions in damage.
One Twitter user went so far as to tweet the GPS coordinates of the resort, begging Hurricane Irma to head there.
Dear Science Twitter: what are the odds Mar A Lago will get a direct hit from Irma? Because, right? Asking for 150 million people.

Hurricane Irma: Please spare everyone & everything in Florida except Mar-a-Lago. The man who owns it is a bad person & is tearing us apart. pic.twitter.com/4lWIUOXJDw

Oh I wish Mr. Science Denier would begin a 10 day work vacation at Mar-a-Lago this weekend with those he's close to, & golf a bit too. #Irma

Irma has developed into one of the most powerful hurricanes EVER & it’s heading straight toward Mar-a-Lago. #ThanksObama

Others meanwhile were quick to call them out for their hopes.
Liberals, the most evil people on earth, actually praying for President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, Florida to be destroyed by the hurricane. pic.twitter.com/a5tXQJprhc

Instead of praying for Irma to make a direct hit on Mar-a-Lago, take a moment to be a human and pray for Palm Beach County.

Your jokes about Irma hitting Mar-a-Lago aren't cute or funny. People have lost everything, and more are about to.

Mar-a-Lago isn’t the only property of the president’s at risk.

Sitting on Plum Bay on the island of Saint Martin, about 200 miles east of Puerto Rico in the Leeward Antilles, is an 11-bedroom home that Trump owns. The home, which Trump says he currently rents out, is up for sale for $16.9 million – a price reduced from $28 million – but could be worth much less after Irma passes through. (Fox News)
Trump called a state of emergency in Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands Tuesday night.
Irma is already one of the most powerful storms ever recorded in the Atlantic basin.
