Today, President Donald Trump and his wife Melania will visit Texas to tour emergency operations centers and to be briefed on the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. The two boarded Air Force One early this morning, and will land in Corpus Christi around 11:30 before traveling to Austin to meet with Texas leadership. This is the first major natural disaster of the Trump presidency, and many are considering this to be an important test of his leadership skills.

This isn't the first time Melania (and the other Trump women) have been criticized for their choice in footwear. Earlier in August, Newsweek published a rather odd piece about Melania's preference for stiletto heels.
