April Ryan Dishes on Her Strained Friendship With Omarosa

Not to go all TMZ on you Townhall readers, but this was too juicy to pass up. You may know White House reporter April Ryan, from Urban Radio League, for her many verbal tussles with just about everyone on President Trump's entire communications team. Remember when Sean Spicer told her to "stop shaking her head" at him, or Sarah Huckabee Sanders accused her of having a "sarcastic" tone? Well, this week she engaged in a bit of gossip about her now ex-friend Omarosa Marigault, a Trump communications aide.

In a podcast with Angela Rye, Ryan dished on how she used to be friendly with Manigault. But, once the former "Apprentice" star joined the Trump White House and supposedly tried to kill her career, Ryan returned the favor. It all started, she said, after Manigault accused her of taking money from Hillary Clinton's campaign.

"She was screaming at the top of her lungs," Ryan said. "It was almost as if she wanted the president to hear. Not only that, she taped it and edited the tape. … She sent it to John Roberts at Fox. She sent the tape of four minutes of about 20 or 30 minutes arguing. I embarrassed her in front of reporters and people in that office. … I made mincemeat of her. … Because, I said, 'I was here when you got fired the last time and I'll be here when you get fired this time. … I've been doing well. What were you doing last year? Nothing but selling cellphones.'"

She said that Manigault "wanted to kill my career" for her own gain.

"[W]hen you try to kill me and my career because you want to advance yourself because you are now making money after not making money from selling cell phones … good for you but you know what, Karma comes back," she said.

Is this the definition of frenemies?

As if this White House needs any more gossip!
