Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is on the warpath. She’s fighting to impeach President Donald Trump. She’s said that he’s a “disgusting, poor excuse of a man,” that that he had no business being president. Sorry, Maxie—that’s not how any of this works. She’s also shameless. When James Comey was fired as FBI director, Waters said that it was wrong for Trump to do this, but would have been fine with Clinton doing it. She’s loves the Russian collusion story, even though she has zero evidence to prove that such coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence actually occurred. She’s accused former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), who resigned from Congress in June, of having ties to the Kremlin. That’s total bunk.
Now, Waters has set Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson in her sights, according to The Hill:
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) ripped into Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson in a speech Saturday, saying Carson “doesn’t care about people in public housing.”
“[Carson] knows nothing about the mission of HUD,” Waters said in a speech at the Essence Festival in New Orleans. “He doesn’t care about people in public housing. He believes that if you are poor, it is your own fault. And he doesn’t know the difference between an immigrant and a slave.”
[…]
Waters also warned Carson that she would tough on him when he testifies before the House Committee on Financial Services, on which she is the ranking member.
“[If he] things [sic] that I am going to give him a pass, I am going to take his a** apart,” Waters said.
Isn’t she just a burst of sunshine, folks.
