Janet Yellen Hospitalized in London Over the Weekend

Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen was hospitalized in London over the weekend for an infection. She was admitted Friday to the King Edward VII Hospital, but will be returning to the nation's capital on Monday.

"She is returning to Washington, D.C., and expects to resume her schedule as planned this week," a statement from the Fed read.

Yellen, 70, was in London last week to speak at an event at the British Academy. She is expected to finish her term in the Federal Reserve Feb. 3, at which point President Trump may or may not hire her for another four years.

Yellen made headlines most recently for confidently predicting there will not be another financial crisis - at least "not in our lifetimes" - because the banks are "very much stronger."
