Dude, Really: MSNBC Reporter Equates President Trump With A Suicide Bomber

After weeks of speculation about possible taped conversations between President Trump and former FBI Director James Comey, the wait is over. There are no tapes. Or at least, that’s what the president is saying. Trump said that there are no tapes, despite a tweet he sent after he fired Mr. Comey from his post in May, warning him not to leak anything because he might have taped conversations. MSNBC’s Elise Jordan’s analysis of this development was to equate Trump to a suicide bomber while speaking with host Craig Melvin.

“It’s a sad day when you cannot depend on the president’s word. And my advice would just be to Republicans who do cozy up to him, it’s just like hugging a suicide bomber. He blows you up in the process with him,” she said.

“It’s like hugging a—that’s a little strong, Elise,” replied Melvin.

“Yeah, I mean—this is not, I mean look at what—if you go out on a limb, if you’re a Republican who went out on a limb and defended Donald Trump over saying ‘well, he’s got tapes that are going to back up his point of view,’ you just got blown up too,” she replied.
