President Trump praised Georgia Republican Karen Handel Tuesday morning as voters in the state head to the polls.
“KAREN HANDEL FOR CONGRESS. She will fight for lower taxes, great healthcare strong security-a hard worker who will never give up! VOTE TODAY,” he tweeted.

The president also slammed her Democratic opponent, Jon Ossoff, who he said “wants to raise your taxes to the highest level and is weak on crime and security.” Trump also reminded voters Ossoff “doesn’t even live in district.”

The tweets follow his message Monday night about the special election.
“Big day tomorrow in Georgia and South Carolina. ObamaCare is dead. Dems want to raise taxes big! They can only obstruct, no ideas. Vote "R"” he wrote.

The race promises to be a close one. A poll released Monday showed Handel with 50.46 percent of the vote and Ossoff with 48.59 percent--well within the margin of error of 2.9 percentage points. The poll of 1,100 likely voters was conducted June 17-18 by Trafalgar Group, a Republican polling firm.
