Avengers Director Joss Whedon has been an outspoken opponent of Donald Trump’s presidency from the start, tweeting in November that Trump could not be allowed to take office and calling Trump voters “uncaring” and “obnoxious” in a February interview. Thursday Whedon tweeted a mockery of a photo of House Speaker Paul Ryan meeting a group of young women implying that these women were part of a “White House Wife Hunt.”

There’s just one problem with that: the young women were in fact a group of Wisconsin teens meeting with the Speaker to discuss their fight against childhood cancer.

Update: Whedon removed the tweet late Thursday night and tweeted the following apology:
