Former Florida governor and 2016 presidential candidate Jeb Bush, along with former Yankees star Derek Jeter, won an auction today to purchase the Miami Marlins for $1.3 billion.
Can confirm, per MLB source, that Marlins are moving forward with the Jeb Bush/Jeter group and are optimistic deal will be reached for sale

Jeter and Jeb were part of a group that won the auction, and additional details of the sale will be released when they are available. Former President George W. Bush, Jeb's brother also once owned a baseball team--the Texas Rangers.
