Responding to the carnage, President Trump fired 60 tomahawk missiles at the airfield, but reports tricked in this afternoon that Syrian fighter jets are taking off from the base to carry out more airstrikes. It’s obvious that we didn’t destroy the runways. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that the base itself was not the target, but the installation’s refueling capacity

So, the question is what do we do now? Is this a long-term, concerted air campaign? NBC News’ Richard Engel said that officials told him that this will be a small footprint operation focused on targeted strikes, and that no ground invasion is being considered. We’ll see what happens.
