Hillary Supports Airstrikes, Condemns Travel Ban in Friday Speech

President Trump's 2016 election opponent Hillary Clinton told a group of Democratic activists in Houston, Texas on Friday that she supports his retaliatory missile strike against Syria. Yet, that is only the first step to addressing Syria's unstable situation.

"As I said yesterday afternoon, I said it is essential that the world does more to deter Assad from committing future murderous atrocities," Clinton said. "But the action taken last night needs to be followed by a broader strategy to end Syria’s civil war.”

Clinton's praise ended when she brought up Trump's temporary travel ban on six Middle Eastern and African countries. The order, she argued, is antithetical to the White House's pledge to protect innocent Syrians.

She urged the White House to pursue policies that are "consistent" with America's values.
