President Donald Trump has donated his first quarter salary of $78,333 to the National Park Service, Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced on Monday during the daily press briefing. This is a fulfillment of a campaign promise to donate his presidential salary to charity. Spicer presented a check to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke.

Questions arose in the middle of March when it was revealed that Trump had not donated any of the $400,000 salary he'd earn as president. Spicer clarified that Trump would be donating his salary at the end of the year, but clearly has changed his mind with Monday's donation.
It is unclear if Trump will be donating the rest of his salary to the National Park Service or if he will donate to a different charity or government agency next.
