Trump Tells Intel Committee to Focus on the Leaks

President Trump made sure to get in a last-minute tweet storm before Monday's FBI and NSA hearings in front of the House Intelligence Committee. While Democrats on the panel are expected to grill FBI Director James Comey and NSA Director Michael S. Rogers about the Trump administration's supposed collusion with the Russians, Trump is insisting the real story is the illegal leaks coming out of the White House, such as those that led to the resignation of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

Asked for his prediction on Fox News, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) doubted that the hearing would provide evidence to prove Trump's claims that President Obama had Trump Tower wiretapped. But, the hearing can't end there. The representative would "love" it if the inquiring committee and the media also focused on the leaks.

Trump followed up his initial tweets this morning by noting what he sees as hypocrisy on Capitol Hill. Where, he wondered, were the investigations into his opponent's Russian connection?

House Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) told Fox News's Chris Wallace over the weekend that he has seen no evidence to prove the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to guarantee a favorable election outcome.
