California Preparing to Become the First "Sanctuary State"

California is preparing to prohibit local law enforcement from cooperating with federal laws regarding immigration, as sanctuary cities and democrat politicians throughout the country continue to defy President Donald Trump.

A special legislation is scheduled for hearing on Tuesday in the state senate.

The Senate Public Safety Committee drafted SB54 which includes a fast-tracked legislation that would spend unlimited state money to provide lawyers for people facing deportation.

President Trump has threatened to withhold federal funding from any jurisdiction that refuses to comply with federal immigration laws.
