Several lawmakers are planning on making Rex Tillerson's path to the Trump White House extremely difficult. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell won't be one of them. He offered his unequivocal support for the Exxon Mobil CEO Tuesday morning after President-elect Donald Trump officially announced his nomination for secretary of state.

Yet, other senators like John McCain and Marco Rubio are not yet convinced Tillerson is the best man for the job. They worry about the executive's relationship with Vladimir Putin. Not only does Tillerson have a history of making business deals with the Russian president, he was even awarded the Russian Order of Friendship in 2013 after signing deals with a Russian oil company.
