Veterans Show Up to Protest at College That Removed The American Flag

Two weeks ago students at Hampshire College in Massachusetts, where tuition costs $65,000 per year, demanded all American flags be removed from campus due to their representation of oppression. All flags were taken down.

The move prompted a group of veterans to counter protest over the weekend by bringing hundreds of flags to campus.

"I would die for this flag, I fought for this flag, I live for it," one veteran said during the protest.

"This flag stands for all the veterans around the whole nation, everybody, it's more than just a symbol," another said.

Hampshire College President Jonathan Lash has taken the side of the students.
