Shaq Discusses Sitting During the National Anthem: "I Would Never"

Recent inductee into the National Basketball Hall of Fame, Shaquille O’Neal, was on "Fox & Friends" Friday morning and discussed NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s decision to protest oppression towards African-Americans by sitting during the national anthem.

“I don’t know Colin, but... to each his own,” he said. “I don’t really have a say on it, but I would never do that. My father was a military man, and you know, he protected this country. Uncles are in law enforcement, you know, they go out and work hard every day. Just, there are other ways to get your point across.”

He also questioned Kaepernick's timing on the issue.

“What happened last year?” O’Neal asked. “How come you didn’t decide to do this last year, or the year before that or the year before that?”
