Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the respective presumptive Democratic and Republican nominees, issued statements after today’s horrific attack on law enforcement in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Clinton called the attack “devastating” adding” there is no justification for violence, for hate, for attacks on men and women who put their lives on the line every day in service of our families and communities.”
Trump asked how many police officers have to die over poor leadership in a post on Facebook. He closed by saying “We demand law and order.” On Twitter, Trump described the country as a divided crime scene.
