Parents of Child With Spina Bifida Fault Trump For Mocking Disabled Reporter in New Ad

A new Priorities USA ad is reminding voters about Donald Trump’s mockery of a disabled reporter last fall on the campaign trail in an attempt to question his "heart and soul" and present him as unpresidential.

Entitled “Grace,” the campaign spot features parents Chris and Lauren Glaros reflecting on how they found out their daughter had been born with spina bifida, a birth defect in which a baby’s spinal cord fails to develop. They love their daughter – disability and all – and were therefore horrified to hear the presumptive GOP nominee insult a New York Times reporter who suffers from a muscular disease on the campaign trail in November.

“When I saw Donald Trump mock a disabled person, I was just shocked,” Mrs. Glaros said.

“The children at Grace’s school know never to mock her, so for an adult to mock someone with a disability is shocking.”

His remarks revealed Trump's soul and his heart, Mr. Glaros said - and he "doesn’t like what he saw."

As the general election nears, we will undoubtedly see more of Trump’s controversial rhetoric featured in campaign ads. Will these reminders cause voters – particularly pro-life Republicans – to think twice about him?
