Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has scored another victory over Donald Trump. With 61 percent of precincts reporting, the Associated Press called it for the conservative firebrand after he nabbed a little over 50 percent of the vote (51 percent to be exact so far) in the Kansas Republican caucuses. Cruz started out strong right out of the gate with a double-digit lead over Trump and Rubio that maintained through to victory.
The Texas senator, who’s campaigned as a consistent conservative, won the neighboring Oklahoma contest on March 1.
