Early Friday morning nearly 200 hostages were were taken after a hotel was overrun by terrorists in Mali, a colony belonging to France. At least three people have already been killed.

At this point, French law enforcement officials have stormed the hotel and 80 hostages have been released.

President Obama has been briefed and is monitoring the situation, which is ongoing.
