According to various sources, Democratic candidate Jim Webb will be dropping out of the race this afternoon at 1 p.m. ET. Webb will be hosting a press conference at the National Press Club.

Yesterday, Webb's campaign indicated that he was musing a run as an independent. He received only about 15 minutes of speaking time during the Democratic candidate debate last week, and has been polling at about one percent--far behind front-runners Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
