Planned Parenthood Medical Advisor on Selling Baby Parts: ‘Everything We Provide is Fresh’

More casual conversation about selling unborn baby parts. The Center for Medical Progress has released its tenth video from a 3-year investigation into Planned Parenthood’s business of harvesting fetal organs, and several of the officials interviewed undercover admit the practice is provocative.

“We’ve just been working with people who want particular tissues, like, you know, they want cardiac, or they want eyes, or they want neural,” said PPFA Senior Medical Advisor Dr. Carolyn Westhoff. “Certainly, everything we provide–oh, gonads! Oh my God, gonads. Everything we provide is fresh. Obviously, we would have the potential for a huge P.R. issue in doing this.”

Westhoff wasn’t the only Planned Parenthood employee nervous about the media getting wind of their inhumane methods. When Deborah VanDerhei, the National Director for the Planned Parenthood committee called CAPS, was confronted with questions about procurement, she offered the following warning:

“I have been talking to the executive director of the National Abortion Federation, we’re trying to figure this out as an industry, about how we’re going to manage remuneration, because the headlines would be a disaster.”

Since this investigation has come out, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and other representatives have tried to downplay the footage, insisting they are not breaking the law and that their fetal procurement is saved for tissue donations and medical research.

Yet, if everything Planned Parenthood is doing is on the level, then why are they so concerned with the headlines?

Despite Planned Parenthood’s best efforts to quell controversy, these videos have reached about every news outlet, prompted congressional investigations and compelled pro-life governors to defund the organization in their respective states. The CMP has exposed Planned Parenthood for what it is: an abortion giant that puts money first and unborn children last.
