Hillary Clinton announced her plan to make college affordable. The plan, which includes tax hikes and free community college, was widely panned by Republicans, but led to some interesting exchanges between the candidates on Twitter.
First, Hillary Clinton's campaign tweeted this:
Cost won't be a barrier to an education. Debt won't hold you back. Read Hillary's plan: http://t.co/A4pWb3fOf4 pic.twitter.com/KVyr8SlSVn

Of which Jeb Bush, former Florida governor, took issue. His Twitter responded accordingly, pointing out that student debt has skyrocketed under the Obama administration:

But Team Hillary wasn't done, and didn't hold back on the sass:

...to which Bush responded:

Bush went on to defend his legacy as Florida governor, tweeting that tuition was the lowest in the country for four-year schools.
When I left office, tuition for Florida's public 4-yr universities was the lowest of any state. Conservative policies work @HillaryClinton.

Not content to let Jeb Bush have all the fun, fellow GOP candidate Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker jumped in to the fold as well. Walker pointed out that he froze in-state tuition rates for four years, whereas she charges schools quite a bit of money for speeches.
.@HillaryClinton I’ve frozen in-state tuition rates for four years, while you charged colleges $225K+ just to show up. -SW

It's only August of 2015--there's plenty of more Twitter sass to come in this election.
