What do "YOLO Juliet," "srsly Hamlet," and "A Midsummer Night #nofilter" have in common? No, they're not new music artists or summer hits--they're all titles of the aptly-named "OMG Shakespeare" series aimed at introducing Shakespearian classics to today's teens in easy-to-understand and modern language.
In "YOLO Juliet," for example, the play is written out using emoji and text message bubbles in lieu of the traditional form. (YOLO stands for "you only live once.") Each character in the play is represented by a different emoji. Juliet is the "girl" emoji, and Mercutio is represented by ""Speak-No-Evil Monkey."
