“Here’s a fact, 25 years ago tonight, Tom Brokaw and I were at the Berlin Wall," NBC News anchor Brian Williams stated at a gala on Nov. 8, 2014.
He was—more or less—accurate...if you don’t take time into account. CNNMoney confirmed that "Brian arrived the day after the wall came down."
The trouble is that with news those little annoying details, such as which helicopter you rode in and whether or not you met the Pope, actually matter.
In his mind, however, Williams led quite the exciting life—repeatedly finding himself right there in the very midst of historic moments.
