LA Senate: Dr. Cassidy Criticizes Sen. Landrieu for Keg Stand Photo, Cites Dangers of Binge Drinking

You may not be closely following the Louisiana Senate race, but this is the only image you need to be familiar with right now:

Charming, huh?

The controversial picture in question was taken before an LSU football game, when Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu decided to help a 28-year-old college graduate with a keg stand.

Landrieu’s GOP challenger Bill Cassidy wasn’t amused. Cassidy, a doctor who specializes in liver treatment, criticized Landrieu’s antics because they undermined the seriousness of alcoholism:

"Binge-drinking is associated with DWIs, with traffic facilities, with death on campuses, with rape of young women, with fistfights," Cassidy said at an event Wednesday. "It's not something to celebrate."

Landrieu, however, saw nothing for which to apologize:

“They need to get a sense of humor, and they need to get a life — it’s just the way we roll.”

What do you think? Was this poor judgment on Sen. Landrieu’s part – or just playful fun?
