Okay, Who's Lying About the Chinese Spy Balloon?

Petty Officer 1st Class Tyler Thompson

It’s a day that ends in “y,” which means we have another episode of Biden administration incompetence and lying that has permeated the government since this senile curmudgeon became president. Lies catch up with you, and Biden and his gang of goons are no exception. This time, we’re circling back to the Chinese spy balloon fiasco. Beijing decided to launch a massive surveillance balloon, which this administration allowed to enter US airspace unmolested on January 28.

It coasted for days, entering US territory through Alaska and descending into the lower 48 from Canada. It was finally shot down off the Carolina coast on February 4. High-profile military targets were on this route, and our military couldn’t shoot down the balloon due to fear of civilian casualties. An “awareness gap” was blamed for the lackadaisical response, though we reportedly detected the device off the Alaskan coast days before it penetrated US air space. The new line from the Biden Pentagon is that this balloon wasn’t conducting surveillance operations.

If you look back, you could’ve guessed this line would be used to diffuse this embarrassing breach in national security. The first attempt was to blame Trump, claiming that such devices also went undetected under his presidency as if that makes Joe Biden look any better.

Biden’s folks expect us to believe this Chinese spy balloon wasn’t collecting intelligence. Beijing launches massive airborne devices with zero surveillance capabilities over the airspace of its primary geopolitical foe for fun, right? The Washington Examiner has more

The Department of Defense assessed that the Chinese surveillance balloon that traversed the continental United States earlier this year did not "collect" intelligence during its flight.

China's spy balloon, which Beijing insisted at the time was a weather balloon blown off course, was composed of American technology that helped it collect audio-visual information, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

"The balloon and the capabilities that it has, as you heard at the time, we were aware that it had intelligence-collection capabilities, but it has been our assessment now that it did not collect while it was transiting the United States or overflying the United States," Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder said on Thursday.

Ryder declined to comment on the possibility that U.S. parts were used in the spy balloon.

No one believes that, sir. Maybe it’s because every outlet has reported how this balloon spied on us for months while also exposing the glaring weaknesses in our air defense program. The horse has left the barn for months, folks. Since April, at least

The Chinese spy balloon that flew across the U.S. was able to gather intelligence from several sensitive American military sites, despite the Biden administration’s efforts to block it from doing so, according to two current senior U.S. officials and one former senior administration official.

China was able to control the balloon so it could make multiple passes over some of the sites (at times flying figure-eight formations) and transmit the information it collected back to Beijing in real time, the three officials said. The intelligence China collected was mostly from electronic signals, which can be picked up from weapons systems or include communications from base personnel, rather than images, the officials said.

The three officials said China could have gathered much more intelligence from sensitive sites if not for the administration’s efforts to move around potential targets and obscure the balloon’s ability to pick up their electronic signals by stopping them from broadcasting or emitting signals.

This White House can’t figure out who brought cocaine into the West Wing but knows for certain that this Chinese spy balloon wasn’t conducting a mass intelligence-gathering operation.

That one was good for a laugh.
